This checklist records observations. For treatment or a formal conservation assessment, consult a qualified conservator.
A condition note helps you compare what you see now with what you see later. Keep the language specific and simple: where a mark appears, how large it is, and whether it is new. Photos taken at the same time make the written note more useful.
This is a practical prompt for recording observations. If you are concerned about damage, deterioration or treatment, a qualified conservator can advise on the right next step for the material and the work.
